On the 4th day of Serie A, Lazio Roma played against the last season’s performers, Fiorentina. The guests, with the Romanian striker Adrian Mutu in the first eleven, were hopping to get a good result. Unfortunately for them Lazio Roma took their chances and won by 3:0. Well David James is the king. The king of mistakes. He did it again in the last Carling Cup match, when his team Portsmouth lost 0:4 against Chelsea. He is a professionist at making these kind of goofs. Only one team existed on the pitch. The 1st goal was scored by Lampard from a penalty obtained by Michael Ballack.

Real Madrid proved once again that when it has a sparring partner on the other side of the pitch, it does show no mercy. The score: 7-1 says everything. The 1st goal scored by the new commer Van der Vaart, was the result of a beautiful team effort. Three passes were enough to get the ball to the Dutch midfielder who scored with a powerful shot in the keeper’s left side.
